28

Xperia is the range of phones designed by giants of the electronic world Sony. On September 2015 they released the latest experia z5 series. The series constitutes the Z5 Compact, the Z5, and the Z5 Premium. The Compact as the name suggests is a smaller 4.6-inch phone whereas the Z5 is the 5.2-inch handheld, and lastly the Z5 Premium is a 5.5-inch device similar to a tablet.

Introduction

The design of the Xperia Z5 has changed only moderately from previous models from Sony with a frosted glass finish and a metallic side frame. It is yet again a waterproof phone .The home button on the side of the device is converted into a fingerprint sensor which will work similar to that of Apple’s Touch ID through a hard press. Xperia Z5 captures life’s greatest photo opportunities before they pass as it claims the world’s fastest autofocus time there is on a smartphone at just 0.03 seconds. It comes with a larger 23-megapixel sensor, which is a way to get more digital zoom from a photo. The phone also has the feature of optical image stabilization beneficial for people with shaky hands. There are also options for recording video at a higher frame-rate for slow-motion playback.

Design and Features

The size of Z5 screen is 5.2-inch with 1080p display. Internally the Xperia Z5 phone functions on Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor. The phone comes with a 2,900mAh battery. The phone is embarked with 32GB of storage. Operating system of the phone will be Android Lollipop 5.1 and Sony’s own Xperia UI will be used.

Sony’s been proclaimed as one of the best-performing phones because of the battery. The phone is believed to offer a two day battery life in normal usage. The battery being 2900mAh is bigger than a lot of other Smartphone competitors. There are also the options of Stamina mode and an intelligent screen. The battery is saved by “pausing” the screen when showing a static image turning off the CPU. Most of the power is drawn the time the phone is switched on.

This is one of the securest handheld released by Sony because of the incorporation of biometric scanner in this phone. As said earlier the Sony’s iconic round power button is gone. The round power button is replaced by a lozenge-shaped button, flush to the side of the phone enabling the finger touch scanner, similar to iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S6.

Most of the people expected to see an amazing phone from Sony with the Xperia Z5 but leaving some features the phone hasn’t changed much and is similar to its other models.

Final Verdict

Most of the alterations and additions made by the company are kind of refined but have already been seen countless times in the previous models. The brands are not expected to upgrade each and everything but on the same hand the customers expect to have something different from other phones for the price they are paying for the product. To keep things fresh Sony should improve the look of the phone like other brands. The Sony fans without ambiguity are going to enjoy the innovation in the camera which is very exciting and also if the brand can uphold its battery promise then it is very impressive. The device is stylish and if you are someone who gets easily intimidated by SONY then this handheld is meant for you.
